In October 2017, I was invited to exhibit my artwork at the Florence Biennale in Florence, Italy. This exhibition featured the work of more than 450 artists from over 73 countries. From its beginnings in the late 1990's, the Florence Biennale has been the major contemporary art exhibition in Florence (Italy), and it is regarded as an outstanding showcase of the international contemporary art production. It was a truly inspiring experience to be invited and to exhibit with such an amazing collection of extremely talented artists from all over the world.
The Merrickville Artist Guild, also known as MAG, is a collective of artists in Merrickville. The Guild has many artists of different disciplines. Potters, Painters, Glass Blowers, Quiltmakers etc. are just a few of the creative people that can be found in the guild. One of the big features of the Guild is the annual fall Studio Tour, where all the artists open their studios to the public, allowing visitors to see the work environs of some of eastern Ontario's finest artists.
Every summer in July, I participate in an art show called Fantasy In The Forest. Set in a forest setting, this show is a most magical, imaginative experience. It's like stepping back in time and stumbling across a medieval village hidden in the forest. In Keeping with the theme of the show, many of the artists and artisans come dressed in costumes to exhibit and sell their creations.
Every autumn, 22 of eastern Ontario's finest artists and artisans get together at the "Before the Rush". Taking part in this show has always been a wonderful experience. Set in line of the most beautiful locations in the
